Local Color Art Gallery & Studio is a cooperative of local artists showcasing their art in the gallery, and often working in the studio, at the historical Gryphon Building in downtown Joplin, Missouri. We offer art classes to children and adults, and workshops by nationally known guest artists.

April 2024 Classes
Every Tuesday: 11:00-1:00; $20 Beginner’s watercolor class. Bring your own supplies. Ages 8 and up. Barb Hicklin.
Every Tuesday: 2:00; $20 Improve your painting and learn principles of design. Bring your own watercolor, oils or acrylic paint for personal instruction from award-winning artist Paula Giltner.
Saturday, April 6: 2:00-6:00; Fabric Collage; includes wood panel and fabric; $40. Tricia Courtney.
Friday, April 12: 1:00-3:00; watercolor class; $30, includes all supplies; Joan Allen.
Saturday, April 13: 10:30-1:00, Saturday Paint Class, $30, includes all supplies and ice cream cone from Caroline’s; ages 8 and up; paint Monet or Van Gogh or bring a picture of what you would like to paint; Jesse McCormick & Margie Moss.
Friday, April 19: 4:30-6:00; Fused glass potted cactus class; includes all supplies; ages 8 and up; $35. Jane McCaulley.
Saturday, April 27: 6:00, FUNdamentals of Paint Pouring; 1 8×10 & 1 11×14, $40, includes all supplies; ages 9 and up; Mary Parks.
