With a lifelong love affair with wood, I turned my passion into art to share with family and friends. Transforming a piece of harvested wood into a bowl, natural edge table, cutting board or even small items such as trees or mushrooms now occupies my time as I enjoy retirement. I especially love working with Burl (abnormal growth on trees) with its unique shapes and ring patterns. Stain is seldom used as I prefer to bring out the beauty in each unique piece by highlighting the natural wood grain. I love spending time in my shop in Oswego, Kansas and have been married for 58 years with three children, four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
