Joan Allen | Joplin MO

As a graduate of the University of Alabama I love working with the elements of art. I use many colors and line with watercolors and acrylics. The Twiglette was formed from working with stick figures. Twiglettes are women in action and portray them moving and enjoying life. My inspiration for these pieces come from observing family and friends. With an active imagination, I am constantly looking for new ideas to form new Twiglettes.

Abstracts are color and line also and express freedom in movement and feelings, constant joy in creating life and color into the canvas. I enjoy teaching techniques in painting and drawing and have been teaching for many years.
