Steve Seybold
Although I was an avid art student in high school, I could not pursue art as a career. For over 37 years, I was a Journeyman Lineman for a power company. After my retirement in 2009, I began taking art lessons in a wide range of artistic media.
My training included woodcarving, sculpting, pottery, airbrushing, and repousse metal chasing. Over time, I also taught myself specialized metalworking techniques such as applying patinas, scroll bending, welding, forging, and adding louvers. These skills allow me to blend multiple disciplines into pieces that reflect my artistic journey.
Several of my works have been donated to benefits supporting cancer patients, a cause close to my heart. I live in Southeast Kansas and have spent the past three years continuing my studies at the gallery under the guidance of artist Trisha Courtney.
