Barb Hicklin | Joplin MO

I am a representational painter in both watercolor and oil. I have been a fan of watercolor for many years, but only recently have been able to devote the time to learning to paint.

I have been fortunate to study with local artists Donna Roberts and Paula Giltner, and have taken workshops with watercolorists Paul Jackson, Tony Couch, and Birgit O’Connor.

I enjoy painting flowers and birds and exploring the myriad possibilities of still life. I like to express the beauty in ordinary things and am constantly inspired by the beauty in nature.

I am a member of Joplin Regional Artist Coalition, Spiva Center for the Arts, Art Central, and the Missouri Watercolor Society.
